Florals | 2016 - 2022

Flowers bring more color to this world.
In a place full of such darkness, it’s no
surprise that flowers have not only
always been admired but also been
essential to many traditional ceremonies
and customs for centuries. This series
started as I assigned my own meaning
to a few flowers to remind me of my
grandmother who blossomed much
good in her life. I then fell for the puzzle
that the clusters of petals presented and
the way the light fell on each of the semi-
translucent, velvety surfaces. If only I
could paint their smell.
